WHAT IS CFSS

Community First Services and Supports (CFSS) in Minnesota is a state-funded program that provides personal care and support for individuals with disabilities, chronic illnesses, and other care needs, helping them live independently. Unlike the PCA program, CFSS offers greater flexibility, allowing participants to hire family members (including spouses and parents of minors) as caregivers and use funds for assistive technology or home modifications.

CFSS is available to individuals on Medical Assistance (MA) and eligible waiver programs, ensuring they receive customized, self-directed care in their homes or communities.
